Country/Region: Germany, Pfalz Background: The boutique vineyard Albert Glas is settled in the best sites of the southern Palatinate, where third generation winemaker Dominik Glas creates “joyful pleasures to drink down to the last sip”. Filled with elegance and balance out of the intensity and brightness of our grapes. Winemaking: Harvesting takes place in the early morning hours to take advantage of the coolness of the night. Only ripe and aromatic grapes are selected to be crushed. After resting in their own juice for 10 hours, the grapes are gently pressed, pre-clarified, then cooled in our stainless steel tanks. We then retain the residual sweetness by stopping the fermentation process. Per questo, we cool the wine down to 7°C to stop the yeasts from converting the sugar into alcohol. What remains is an incredibly fruity wine. Grapes: 100% Gewurztraminer Tasting note: Lychee and roses dominate the aromas of this exceptionally fruity wine. Despite its high sweetness, the taste remains playful with its fresh acidity. Food Pairing: Chilled to between six different degrees, this makes good with sweet cap to desserts, light pastries, and various cheeses.
